Since end-July 2015, the long and heavy monsoon rains of Cyclone “Komen” have caused floods and landslides in many parts of Myanmar. So far, it has been the worst disaster since Cyclone “Nargis” in 2008.

Many school buildings have been damaged or destroyed. So most of the teaching has to take place in the outside. Nearly all teaching and school materials are gone.

O.P.C. had to do something in the face of this catastrophe and sponsored schoolbooks, pens, and black boards.
