The fortunate political development in Myanmar has positively affected our Kindergarden Loi Kaw Wan. Refuegees are not arriving anymore and many families have moved back to their homeland Myanmar.
The on-site children have grown up and are attending school by now. Thus, there is no further need to support Loi Kaw Wan. This is what every non government organisation is striving for: to eventually fall into disuse. This makes us really happy!
Therefore, we have a new project. Since June 2016, we support the Pyo Khinn School together with our local partner. Here, disadvantaged migrant children are taught in Mae Sot, a small border town on the burmese border in the northwest of Thailand.
